I am a native Italian tutor and I was born and grow up in Grosseto (south of Tuscany).
I`ve been living in England for the last 6 years. I am married to a university lecturer, with whom I have 2 children.
I studied at the University of Sienna (Italy) where I obtained my master degree in law and some specific qualifications that allow me to become an Italian tutor and teach some subjects (Italian lessons for foreign people and Italian law).
In Italy I was a solicitor/barrister. There I worked as a solicitor/barrister at first and then for 10 years as Chief Police Officer at a small police station.
Over the last 10 years, I have developed a passion for becoming an Italian tutor to foreigners. I have already given Italian lessons and Italian lessons via Skype while in my native country, in schools, public administrations and companies.
When I came to the United Kingdom, my dream was to give Italian lessons via Skype and Italian lessons in person to English speaking people who wished to learn it.
So, to realize my dream, I started to give Italian lessons via Skype and Italian lessons in person and run Italian lessons courses with mixed groups of adults in Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
I give Italian lessons via Skype to distant students on daily basis. They find amazing having their Italian lessons comfortably from home and I really enjoy this way of being an Italian tutor.
I am also running fruitful Italian Conversation class for intermediate students every Monday night at 8:30 in Stotfold (Hitchin) where a dozen of Italian learners practice what they learn in their Italian lessons via Skype or Italian lessons in person and their speaking skills in a very friendly environment.
I am an enthusiastic Italian tutor who loves her native country and I am very delight to share my knowledge about Italian culture, language, cuisine, history and tradition with everyone pleased to learn about them throught my Italian lessons via Skype and my lessons in person.

THE PROPER ITALIAN - MY ITALIAN LESSONS BACKGROUND
In Italy we say "the pure Italian is the Tuscan Italian in a Roman mouth".
Italy is composed by a lot of regions and every region, every single town speaks a different Italian, with a different accent. North and South Italy speak a very strong dialect. The open or closed pronunciation of the vowels "O" and "E" and doubling consonants "R" and "T" are the most crucial issues. The Italian spoken in Sardinia is considered a different language.
This is what makes our Italian language very rich and interesting.
Usually Italian tutor's accent reflects on the students Italian speaking. I can recognize previews Italian tutor origin of my students just listening to them speaking. I spend a lot of time of my Italian lessons via Skype in reviewing the correct use of the Italian sounds and adjusting the students pronunciation of the vowels "O" and "E".
I am very lucky because I was born and grow up in the south of Tuscany and I didn't have to make any effort to get rid of my accent just because I hadn't any. Pay attention then when you choose your Italian tutor abroad for your Italian lessons via Skype. Look for an Italian tutor who comes from Tuscany or Rome.
MY ITALIAN LESSONS STUDENTS
As Italian tutor I have to deal with many different Italian students every week. Most of my students come for one or two Italian lessons per week. Some of them are coming for 3 Italian lessons every week.
Half of my Italian lessons via Skype and Italian lessons in person have been addressed to beginners and they literally started with no Italian at all.
The other half of my Italian lessons via Skype and Italian lessons in person are with intermediate level students and usually they want to improve their Italian skills in speaking and grammar. In my experience, after about 1 year of Italian lessons (coming at least once per week) a beginner advances to the intermediate level and is able to speak and understand the most common Italian phrases.
Almost all my Italian lessons via Skype and my Italian lessons in person are with adult learners.
Most of my Italian students come from Italian families but they didn't speak Italian at home. So they want to have Italian lessons via Skype or Italian lessons in person in order to speak to their branch of Italian family and to feel more confident when they visit Italy.
Other students often go to Italy for holidays and they want to learn a "survival Italian", others need Italian lessons via Skype or Italian lessons in person for their job, dealing with Italian companies for business, others ask for Italian lessons just for pleasure, with the dream to move to Italy, one day.
Almost all my students have been coming for their Italian lessons via Skype or Italian lessons in person for a long time and they are prepared to seriously commit themselves weekly in the study of the language.
Many of my students choose to have their Italian lessons via Skype, in order to better learn the language confortably from home.
All my Italian lessons and classes, included Italian lessons via Skype, are customized on student progress, purpose and needs and I spend hours to prepare all lessons stuff in advance. Your Italian tutor is available to give out Italian lessons every day from 9 am to 10 pm and over the weekends.
In my Italian lessons and my Italian lessons via Skype, the student receives all the stuff he/she needs to study Italian (grammar, exercises, practice, websites, etc..) and there is a hard job behind that from your Italian tutor. Having Italian lessons via Skype or Italian lessons in person with me you don't spend a penny to buy books, audio-videos or other stuff.
